Tom Adams is the most experienced industry analyst and strategic consultant in legal cannabis. Prior to founding Adams Research in 2024, Tom partnered with Global Go to form Global Go Analytics in 2021. Tom founded the Industry Intelligence group at BDSA, the industry’s leading research company, where he led the team that developed the Arcview/BDSA forecast model of the legal cannabis markets and BDSA’s pharmaceutical and CBD forecasts. As editor in chief of Arcview Market Research, Tom supervised the production of its annual “State of Legal Cannabis Markets” report and many others. He provided data-based strategic planning services to many top cannabis companies, and to major CPG companies investigating cannabinoid market entry.
Tom joined BDSA in June 2016 after more than two decades of industry research innovation as the head of Adams Media Research, which the New York Times called “a leading monitor of the entertainment business.” Tom founded AMR in 1995 to track the growing impact of new digital technologies – the internet, digital TV, and mobile devices – on the media industry. The company helped companies ranging from Fortune 50 media and technology giants to innovative start-ups develop strategies to capitalize on the new digital technologies. AMR merged in 2007 with its international research partner Screen Digest, Ltd. which in turn was acquired by IHS Markit in 2013. Tom began his career as an industry analyst at Paul Kagan Associates, developing some of the earliest research into video entertainment consumption markets.

Maya Jasmin has been Director of Insights & Analytics at Adams Research and Global Go Analytics since their founding. Maya is a seasoned analyst with research and analytics experience across several industries. She covered the consumer electronics space for more than 15 years and transitioned her expertise to the legal cannabis space in 2016. At Adams Research she is responsible for using industry data and trends to help clients efficiently capitalize on opportunities within the industry. Maya provided the market intelligence to GGA’s 2021 “FTI Consulting/Global Go Annual Report on Cannabis Law & Markets.”
Prior to joining Global Go Analytics, Maya was a Senior Analyst and Director of Research at BDSA where she managed the Arcview/BDSA forecast models of the US, Canada and 30-plus other countries. She was also a major contributor to Arcview BDSA’s The State of Legal Cannabis Markets annual report, and the Cannabis Intelligence Briefing series detailing the economics of industry sectors including cultivation, branded products, retailing, CBD and pharmaceuticals.
